First, visit the DCJS website and review the requirements.If you meet those requirements, the first step in the process is to obtain a Property and Casualty Insurance Licence. This requires that you pass a standardized test. Although not required, we recommend that you take a pre-licensing class.

The next step is to take a required bail bonds class. At the end of this class, you must pass another test.The final step is to be appointed an agent of an insurance company that provides bail bonds.

Bail bonds is not an easy business. The work is hard and the hours can be long and irregular. And unlike other forms of insurance, the bondsman is the one who suffers the financial loss if a defendant fails to appear. But if you work hard and pay attention
